6 Fusion

iNode Network

6fusion’s iNode Network is a collection of third party data centers – A.K.A. iNodes – that run 6fusion’s UC6 Cloud Management Platform to create a massive, uniform, ‘public’ Infrastructure-as-a-Service offering. The iNode network provides computing resources in an on demand, pay-per-use model. The iNode Network, by its very nature, provides international coverage with a choice of data centers to deploy workloads into. This geographic granularity helps address many of the security and compliance issues that exist today in the public cloud. Additionally, users get the benefit of a true utility model. All resources consumed in the iNode Network are measured using the Workload Allocation Cube. This ensures that billing is consistent, regardless of which data center is chosen.

There are many advantages to this federated model:

  • Geographical Flexibility – You control which datacenter, nationally and internationally, your data resides in
  • One Price – All billing is handled through 6fusion, regardless of how many data centers or countries you need to deploy in
  • Availability Guarantees – 6fusion has a strict certification process backed by a strong SLA that all data centers are required to meet

To become a part of the iNode Network, our Utility Computing Vendor partners undergo a strict certification process. 6fusion provides and enforces an SLA process, which each datacenter must be able to meet. Additionally, each iNode in the iNode Network must provide:

  • Uptime Institute Certified Data Center Facilities
  • Fully staffed 7×24 NOCs
  • Redundant power and colling systems
  • Highly redundant internetworking
  • N+1 Server Cluster
  • Highly Redundant SAN based storage systems
